East End Arts’ Youth Arts Council provides youth ages 16 – 25 the opportunity to get a deeper level of engagement within the arts in East Toronto and beyond. Youth Arts Council members will help guide East End Arts’ programming and opportunities, while gaining hands-on, transferable skills.
Opportunities include:
- Hands-on experience with event and program development and evaluation
- Flex your content creation muscles by producing fun and engaging content in collaboration with East End Arts across a rage of platforms, including creating content for our website, Youth Arts-E-News monthly newsletter, social media, and more
- Earn volunteer hours and reference letters for post-secondary applications and outside employment opportunities
- Exclusive arts workshops and experiences, including excursions, gallery tours, and artist talks
- Be a part of a network of local youth who share similar interests in the arts
- Make meaningful connections with artists and arts and cultural organizations
- Build leadership skills
- And more! Youth Arts Council members will have the opportunity to help guide the direction of the Council through feedback and ideas
The Youth Arts Council will meet once a month, starting in November 2018. Meetings will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 4 – 5:30 pm, unless stated otherwise.
