ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Come to create meaningful, personal collage pieces that tell your unique story!
Creating meaningful collages using personal photographs and crafts is a wonderfully expressive art form that combines visual storytelling with personal reflection! In this workshop, participants will delve into the process of mixed media collage, assembling images and objects to create a narrative or evoke emotions. The workshop will include various materials, such as paint, ink, found objects, and photographs to create a single artwork. Throughout the workshop we will explore various mixed media techniques, such as layering, texture creation, image and blending to enhance the storytelling aspect of the collage. If time allows, there will be an opportunity to share our collages with the group, and tell the stories behind them. Participants are invited to bring their own personal photographs, copies of photographs, or other personal special items to be included in their pieces.
*If you do not want to use original photographs, and/or you are unable to get copies of them printed to include in your collage, participants of this workshop are invited to email photos that they would like included in their collage piece to info@eastendarts.ca before Friday August 16th, 2024, and East End Arts will print out everything for Saturday’s workshop!
