A work of art can tell a story. Participants will learn how to transfer a photo to birch board using a polymer emulsion, and optionally, if taking part in the collaborative art theme of home and community, layer the image with archival city photographs or maps, paint, and/or narrative to create a collage or palimpsest.
Required: Photocopy or laser-printed colour or black-and-white of a personal photograph (such as a family photo or local landscape), digitally flipped, with the dimensions under 6.25″x 6.25.” All other materials provided.
Vivian Wong is a multidisciplinary artist, arts educator, and workshop facilitator. As founder and member of the Wabi Sabi Collective, she has created installation projects and interactive public art for Gladstone Grow Op and Nuit Blanche Toronto.
