ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Come create your own fantastical creature with Apoxy Sculpt!

Come and get creative with sculpture! Together participants will sculpt small fantasy creatures, which will then be air dried, and painted later, if desired. Karen will demonstrate how to hand build an armature for support and model a creature. Participants of this workshop can modify the design to create their own fun, unique creature. As a material, this workshop will use Apoxy Sculpt to create permanent small sculptures that will be approximately 4”- 5” high. Apoxy Sculpt has a stone like texture when dried and is suitable for outdoor environments and aquariums! Participants of this class will be asked to leave their sculptures at our Clubhouse to dry overnight, and then you are invited to return on one of two drop-in painting days (Thursday July 18th from 12-7pm, or Sunday July 21st from 12-3pm) to finish adding colour and life to your creature with acrylic paint! Simply drop in during one of these time slots, and we will have a painting station set up for folks who come by!

WHAT TO BRING

Outside of a positive attitude and a readiness to get creative and have fun, you may also want to bring a water bottle (we will have tap water available as an alternative), a face mask if you need one (we will also have some on site if you need a disposable one), and your smart device so you can share images and tag us during your experience (we will reshare!) Karen’s workshop does not require that participants bring anything specific or additional. If you have reference photos that you’d like to refer to for your creature, have those ready for yourself.
