Last Friday of Every Month, 12-3PM
St. Matthew’s Clubhouse, 450 Broadview Ave.

ABOUT SENIORS CREATIVE CIRCLE

The Senior’s Creative Circle is a welcoming and inclusive monthly art program designed for seniors to explore their creativity, relax, and connect with others through the art of self-expression. Held on the last Friday of every month from 12-3PM, this -in session offers a low-pressure environment where participants can experiment with different mediums, engage in fun and simple art projects, and meet fellow seniors who share a love for creativity and art.

Whether you are a seasoned artist or just getting started, the Senior’s Creative Circle is a great opportunity to try something new, rediscover your artistic passion, and have fun with community in a supportive and engaging atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to bring any art pieces or projects that they are currently working on, but for those looking to join us without a current project, we will have simple art supplies and materials on hand for you to play with, and no prior art experience is necessary. Come hang out with us on a Friday afternoon to relax, let your creativity flow, and engage in activities that promote your mental and emotional well-being. Due to the popularity of this program, participants are asked to RSVP to the session they will be attending ahead of time by filling out our Google form linked below.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A roundtable setup inside St. Matthew’s Clubhouse, a fully accessible building (for wheelchair users or folks with a walker).
  • A group of like-minded, art-loving 55+ seniors from East Toronto for you to connect with and build a sense of community.
  • A variety of arts supplies available for you to use as you wish, with some very light guidance for those who would like it (i.e. paints, collage materials, textiles, and more!).
  • Light refreshments available at each session (including coffee, tea, and cookies).
  • A judgment free space for people of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists, to be creative and make art together!

RSVP & ATTENDANCE

  • Due to the high demand of this program, this program is no longer a drop-in format and participants are required to register in advance for the circle they would like to attend.
  • Registration will operate monthly. This means it will open on the second Monday of each month, and only for that month’s circle. I.e. The February Creative Circle’s registration will open on Monday February 9th, 2026. Or, the March Creative Circle’s registration will open on Monday March 9th, 2026.
  • Each circle has an approximate 30-person maximum cap. Once 30 people have signed up for that month’s circle, anyone signing up afterwards will be added to a waitlist. This is to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone who joins us.
  • We will announce the opening of our monthly registration in our monthly East End Arts newsletter. If you are not already signed up, you can sign up for our monthly newsletter HERE. This will help you be the first to know when monthly registration opens up for the Seniors Creative Circle.
  • You can also access our monthly registation form at the button below.
  • We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and interest! 🙂 And we look forward to seeing you through our doors at St. Matthew’s Clubhouse
