Xijia (Romee) Lai was born and raised in China and is currently based in Toronto, where she is pursuing a degree in Painting at OCAD University. With a background in dance choreography and hotel management, her journey into visual arts was unexpected yet deeply fulfilling.
Her work blends delicate watercolors with bold mixed-media elements, often incorporating biblical scriptures to create meditative landscapes that evoke both serenity and strength. She believes that art has the power not only to express but also to heal, inspire, and reveal deeper truths.
