She/Her

Rashana Youtzy is the Office and Outreach Coordinator at East End Arts, supporting the administrative infrastructure of the organization. She holds a Master of Arts in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Art History, Curatorial Studies, and Philosophy from the University of Toronto. As an immigrant, her practice focuses on discussions of the diasporic experience as it extends to our relationships with the land, one another, and to ourselves. She values how the arts can offer a supportive community to connect across different generations, cultures, and lives. Rashana has published and worked with a number of organizations, including C Magazine, the Jackman Humanities Institute, the Doris McCarthy Gallery, and CARFAC. She is eager to bring her enthusiasm for the arts and passion for the community to East End Arts and learn from the EEA team.

When she is not visiting exhibitions or writing about art, she is usually experimenting in the kitchen, reading selections from her ever-growing ‘To Be Read ’list, or witnessing nature in some form.
