He/Him

Mahmoud Ismail is an east-ender through and through. Born and raised in the Leslieville neighborhood of Toronto, he sees Toronto through a different lens; through the middle. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in Political Science, Mahmoud began cutting his teeth as an educator and program developer across various non-profits and arts organizations. An artist himself, he helped establish the Soundstock Academy; an business development program that provides artists with the knowledge, tools, and access to resources to help advance their careers. Excited about the opportunity to use unique pedagogical approaches to create holistic, sustainable and accessible programming for all members of his community; Mahmoud now serves as the Program Manager at East End Arts. If you ever see Mahmoud dining on a patio, understand that he is under duress and you should offer to help.
