ABOUT PIECE BY PIECE MOSAICS PROGRAM

East End Arts is excited to be partnering with Mural Routes to bring the Piece by Piece Mosaic arts program for seniors to our community! In this FREE program, participants develop mural-making skills with experienced mosaic mural artist Cristina Delago. Participants work on a small mosaic keepsake for themselves as well as a mosaic panel to contribute to a large community mural project, which is usually installed indoors in a local community space. This program provides an opportunity for participants to learn skills that can help with their concentration and memory, improving their wellbeing over time.

The program consists of ten (10) 2.5-hour sessions, where we welcome up to 15 participants from the east end of Toronto with all levels of abilities. Mural Routes will supply all materials needed to participate and install the mosaic mural. The theme of the project is determined in conversation with program partners and participants.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Participating Seniors of the Piece by Piece program will receive:

  • All the art materials and tools required to engage in each workshops;
  • 10 arts workshops with our talented lead artist to learn new creative techniques
  • A personalized mosaic artwork to take home
