Tyler James Andrews, or James more informally, was raised between Brampton and Caledon and has always enjoyed the power that art holds to tell stories, creating intersections of the past, present, and future and how those inspire and encourage us to be more human. James holds a bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies (ancient Greek and Roman History) from York, a post graduate certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management from Humber, and a master’s degree in Arts, Culture, and Festival Management from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh Scotland. James can often be found babbling away like a brook, but enjoys listening to others just as much.
James has worked for small independent art galleries in Brampton, both as staff and a board member. They have created exhibitions for cultural institutions on the lakeshore, and has even worked for East End Arts before! Originally hired as the Office and Outreach Coordinator in 2021-2023, James left East End Arts to complete their Master’s degree in 2024, but has now returned to the city they thrive in, and the community they love here in the east end of Tkaronto. They are now the Operations and Outreach Manager for the organization!
When not working, Tyler James can be found trying new hobbies, reading, napping, or hiking, often with a coffee in hand!
