Saba is a health research and policy professional, having worked with community partners in areas such as Indigenous health, global health and HIV/AIDS for almost 10 years. She currently works as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Health Equity Branch at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Outside of work, she has a strong passion for arts-based inclusion and social change and has been involved in a number of arts-based initiatives led by and created for young Muslim women. While a relative newcomer to east end Toronto, Saba has been keen to forge partnerships that promote social justice in east end communities. As a co-founder of East Enders Against Racism, Saba has worked with a core grassroots team to promote anti-racism resources, actions and community-building events in the east end and beyond.
