Dagmawit Worku is an Ethiopian Canadian multidisciplinary new media artist and designer. She recently graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media, specializing in Interactive Design. Driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a love of learning, she creates interactive and meaningful experiences that bring together art, technology, and community.
Beginning with painting, drawing, and architectural design, Dagmawit’s practice has expanded to include graphic design, mural arts, digital illustration, interactive installations, and tangible media. Working across traditional and digital mediums, she explores storytelling, culture, identity, and human connection through projects that invite participation, reflection, and dialogue.
Looking ahead, Dagmawit hopes to further expand her work in facilitation, arts education, and community-based research, supporting the growth and development of artists and creatives through collaborative projects and engaging learning experiences.
