Claire Tran is a Visual Development Artist and Arts Educator based in Toronto’s East End. Drawn by a passion for story and world building, Claire studied Animation at Seneca Polytechnic. Since then, she has expanded her arts practice toward multidisciplinary work that explores BIPOC and queer community and identity. She has previously been an artist-in-residence for Sketch Working Arts, Mass Culture, and OCADU, and works in public programming for museum, arts, and culture non-profits of Toronto. Claire hopes to continue experimentation in her arts practice by furthering her work in educational arts programming alongside the creation of her artwork.
In her personal life, Claire is a lover of rock climbing, cafe hopping, and giggling with their friends. She is stoked to be part of East End Arts and contribute to her home community’s arts culture!
