Author Susan Calder is a Calgary writer who has published two murder mystery novels. In “Ten Days in Summer,” an insurance adjuster sleuth Paula Savard investigates a suspicious building fire that caused the death of a hoarder. Learn why Susan Calder made the victim in this novel a hoarder. Hear about the real person who inspired this character, the problems his hoarding caused himself and the family, his journey and conclusion. What changed in the process of turning this real person into a fictional character? What are the characteristics of hoarders, can we help them and change them? Do we want to?
