Shakespeare is Boffo! goes home to St. David’s Anglican Church for three summer programs running through the Richard III Parts 1-2-3 cycle. Shakespeare is Boffo! puts a soft sword in the hands of children (and adults) teaching Shakespeare and general theatre arts skills through Shakespeare’s fight scenes.

Camps are offered throughout the year and found in either one day or week-long formats. All materials are supplied, and kids will combine learning and fun as they are engaged in camps including Mission 2 Space, Interesting Inventions, Minecraft, Jr. Robotics, Minion Mania, Superheroes, Cranium Contraptions, and Brick-A-Palooza.

A creative arts Summer camp that invites you to delve into the imagination, follow a story, get lost in a rhythm, and paint your way back! Children’s Peace Theatre 305 Dawes Road
Every July, Children’s Peace Theatre runs a three-week Peace Camp. 12 accomplished professional artists and 18 youth and junior guides work with 45 children aged 8-13 in a collaborative process. Together, they create an original production, complete with original musical score and visual production pieces, based on explorations of relevant social issues and the children’s visions of peace.
The Circus Academy 1300 Gerrard Street East
Kids are introduced to the magic of circus under the guidance of professional circus performers. Activities include the basics of juggling, stilt walking, tumbling, clowning & aerial acrobatics, as well as outdoor activities and short lunchtime circus films. Parents are invited to a final presentation where students showcase their new skills in a mini circus show.

City of Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation offers high quality camps that provide a fun, safe and exciting experience. Camps offer a wide range activities for children 4+ and youth, including arts and crafts, music, visual arts, dance and more, that suit every child’s interests and needs, including individuals with disabilities and special needs. Crafts, Clay & Creativity. The Clay Room camps are for children 7 to 11 years of age. The children explore with a variety of mediums creating their own masterpieces. Activities include Papier Mâche, pinch, coil & slab pottery, ceramic painting, fabric & paper fun, beading, jewelry craft, yarn activities plus a variety of other mixed media. Summer camp is available in week long ½ day sessions. Camp themes include: Costa Rica, Tropical Reef, and Magical Garden.
Cobalt Gallery 870a Kingston Road
Cobalt Gallery is a clay studio and gallery offering weekly sessions in July and August with 4-5 kids per class, ages 5-12 years old. Students will have fun hand building and working with clay on the potter’s wheel, and will be invited back to glaze their pieces.

Dance Kids Canada offers summer camps for children ages 3-10 years old. Children will play interactive games with balls and dance wands as well as participate in arts and crafts. The Photography Summer Camps at Lens Work offer a unique opportunity for teens to learn about photography and editing in a fun, hands-on environment. Each camp offers small groups to ensure your child gets quality instruction and supervision. The camps and associated activities are specifically geared toward the different age groups and run by a professional photographer who is also a qualified and experienced teacher and instructor. The Campers will learn about the different principals of photography and have ample time to practice under supervision, both in the studio and outside. All campers will go home with a mounted print of their work at the end of their session.

The camps are designed to create a safe place for campers to exercise their creative energies. Workshops are filled with fun improv games, movement exercises and collaborative music activities to help unleash creativity, develop teamwork, improve communication, boost self-esteem and embrace playfulness. Each group of campers will learn and excel at different paces; instructors will tailor the activities to challenge and develop each camper’s learning style.

My Artlab Summer Camps take place both indoors in the art studio and outdoors in the garden. Children work on small and large scale projects such as models, installation, and performances. Each camp also gives children an opportunity to climb a rock wall and participate in yoga sessions. A community arts education centre in East Toronto teaching the art of discovery through Dance, Visual Arts, Music and Drama for children of all ages. Camps are offered for children ages 2.5 to 18 years old, in the styles of Fairy Ballerina Program, Creative Arts Program, Dance & Art Camp, and Intensive Dance Camp.
Play Loft 583 Danforth Avenue
Play Loft camps offer a host of hands-on activities and projects, including building models of the solar system and ancient structures out of sand, and exploring the physics of light and gravity, velocity and energy. Campers in art and literacy will have the opportunity to write their own stories and poems, or other creative pieces, and present their ideas to others. Kids will take home the crafts and art they may create.
Red Sandcastle Theatre 922 Queen Street East
The Red Sandcastle Theatre offers two camps in the summer: the PLAY IN A WEEK CAMP and the FILM IN A WEEK CAMP, at which the troupe of kids explores the creative process and creates a brand new play or film to be presented to family and friends at the end of the week.
Scarborough Music Theatre 51 Estate Drive, Scarborough
Scarborough Music Theatre (SMT) is a non-profit community theatre company that has been producing full-scale musicals for over 50 years. Drama, music, dancing, friendship and fun! Summer Camp activities include drama games, stage movement, improvisation, dancing, choral and solo singing. Good for beginners and experienced children. The S.P.A.C.E. (The School of Performing Arts for the Community of East York) offers summer dance and musical theatre camps, and teen dance and musical theatre intensives throughout July and August. Each camp ends with performance showcases, and provides quality performing arts instruction that focuses on building self–esteem in each student.
